TAG DATES
THE PROBLEM:
When an owner assigns a production item to a performer with a target date in the future (let’s say in 3 months from today), the performer may become aware of the task only on or close to the target date and thus may not have enough time to meet the deadline.
Another situation may arise when a task that was not completed will appear in the Owner’s Inbox folder and the owner may want to just move the item out of his Overall Inbox folder for a specific period of time or will want to have the Performer handle the task.
To avoid such a situation, TimeMaker has introduced the Tag concept.
The Tag refers to the action of adding a “trigger” to an existing or new Command or Production Task that will notify the Performer on a timely basis that an action or a decision is needed.
The Owners Tag refers to the action of adding a “trigger” to a delayed task by the Owner of that Production Task, and so getting the task of the Owner’s Overall Inbox and setting a trigger by which the item, if not handled, will show up in the Owner`s Overall Inbox folder for further action.
The Nuke refers to a gradient scale of actions assigned to a performer that will remind or make the performer handle the item. The Nuke has four levels:
1. Diplomatic - the Performer will receive a notice.
2. Conventional - the Performer will receive a special Nuke window which notifies him of the required action.
3. Bullet - the Performer will continuously receive a Nuke message and will be allowed to perform Date Move Request, Reject, or Completion.
4. Nuclear - The performer will continuously receive a Nuke message and will be made to perform Completion.
